JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Sales Professional
REPORTS TO: General Manager and Company Ownership
LOCATION: Telluride / Mountain Village, CO
COMPANY OVERVIEW: Lodging in Telluride (LIT) is a property management company located in the heart of beautiful Telluride, Colorado. They manage properties on behalf of homeowners across Telluride and Mountain Village by taking care of the management, marketing, maintenance, and housekeeping needs for those properties. The company has been around since 2006 and manages over 60 luxury rentals.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sales Professional will be responsible for prospecting potential clients through various lead sources. The main focus of this position is sourcing leads, creating/managing outreach and follow up protocols, keeping detailed records, and closing homeowners on partnering with LIT for their property management needs. This person must be professional, persistent, and highly-focused on relationship building.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and track local real estate listings and pro-actively develop pro formas for prospective properties
- Evaluate properties and their rental potential in current market
- Monitor competitors offerings and growth rate
- Communicate benefits of working with LIT through various marketing and communication channels (direct mail, email, phone, text, etc)
- Create plan, manage outreach, track and report timelines and steps to identify and follow up with prospective clients
- Schedule meetings with potential clients of LIT, via phone/Zoom or potentially at/near their vacation rental
- Explain and demonstrate the services and products of LIT to prospects clearly and accurately
- Assist or lead in creating and executing marketing campaigns directed at new prospects
- Document all relevant conversations with prospects in a clear and accountable manner
- Coordinate additional conversations with general or operations manager as needed Embrace and leverage all forms of technology that are used by LIT Lead and coordinate onboarding process for new clients across departments
- Address client needs and inquiries as part of client retention process
- Acquire thorough understanding of LIT owner and caretaking program and agreements Manage owner survey and follow-up after onboarding is complete, report results to team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in sales
- Ability to build rapport and trust; must be friendly and firm
- Vacation rental property management or hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
- Degree preferred but not required B2B sales experience preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable cold-calling potential clients
- Persistent but able to handle objections in a polite and respectful manner
- Must be sophisticated in their sales approach as this position will be dealing with homeowners who own high-value properties
- Experience with CRM tools and processes preferred
- Ability to think both strategically and creatively
Position is part-time with potential for full-time. Starting pay range $25-$28/hour. Ski pass available.
